Bottle Drive – Nov. 17

November 13, 2007

Just a reminder that a bottle drive has been scheduled for Saturday, November 17. Bring your bottles to the rink for sorting. Scott McGillivray (Claire and Stewart’s Dad) has offered the use of his truck and David Moulton (Alexandra’s Dad) are spearheading this Fundraiser. Volunteers to help with sorting would be greatly appreciated.

PoCo Interclub Correction and reminder of the deadline on Wednesday, November 14.
The ability portion of the meet is restricted to Juveniles and down (no Juniors, Intermediates, Seniors, or Masters!).  Deadline for skater entries for our club is Wednesday, November 14.

Heads up:  The Ridge Meadows Interclub is coming on December 9th.  Meet information will be forwarded when we get it.

SEAT SALE ends NOVEMBER 15 for air fare to BCLT Championships.
It is not too early to think about competing at the BC Long Track Championships which are being held in Fort St. James from January 18 – 20, 2008.  These championships are open to all and are a fun, unique experience skating outdoors on a 400 m oval (the size of a running track).  Air Canada is offering a seat sale on flights into Prince George.    We usually leave early in the morning.  The drive to Fort St. James takes about an hour or so, just in time for  practice in the afternoon on the outdoor rink, before it gets too dark.

Season Opener – Chocolate Sales

September 16, 2007

DanielBarSmallThis year we are using the local chocolatier Daniel Le Chocolate Belge for our season opener chocolate sales. Simply Delicious was unable to ship in time due to the hot weather.

Many of our skaters have received this years chocolate allotment of 10-85 gram bars and so far, the response has been overwhelmingly positive.

A big thanks to the parents who helped bundle the chocolate bars on Saturday, August 15th!

Skaters who have not received their allotment or skaters wanting more chocolate bars to sell can email me at bhfund@gmail.com.
